📸 AI food scanning

how does the AI food scanner work?

tap the camera icon on the Home screen or Food tab, point your camera at your meal, and Calb's AI will detect every item on your plate. it identifies food items, estimates portion sizes, and automatically fills in calories, protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. you can review and edit items before logging them.

why did the AI misidentify my food?

AI food recognition is highly accurate but not perfect — results can vary based on lighting, angle, and how the food is presented. if an item is misidentified:

can I add food manually without scanning?

yes. tap the "+" icon or "Add Food" button in the Food tab to log a meal manually. you can enter the food name, calories, and macros directly.

how do I change the meal type (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks)?

on the Scan Food results screen, you'll see meal type buttons at the top — tap the one that matches your meal before logging. you can also change it later from the Food Log screen.

🥗 calorie & nutrition tracking

how does calorie tracking work?

Calb tracks your daily calorie intake against your personal goal. as you log meals throughout the day, your eaten, burned, and net calories update in real time on the Home screen and Food Log. your progress ring shows how close you are to your daily goal.

what macros does Calb track?

Calb tracks four key macros:

progress bars on the Food Log screen show how much of each macro goal you've reached for the day.

how do I change my calorie and macro goals?

go to the Settings tab and adjust your Daily Calories, Protein, Carbs, and Fat targets using the +/– buttons. changes take effect immediately across the app.

how do I view past food logs?

in the Food tab, use the date selector at the top to navigate between days. you can view logs from today, yesterday, and earlier dates.

💪 workout tracking

how do I log a workout?

go to the Workout tab and tap the "Start" button to begin a session. browse exercises by category (All, Upper Body, Lower Body, Full Body), tap the play button on any exercise to start tracking reps, and your session stats — reps, sets, time, and calories burned — update in real time.

what exercises are available?

Calb includes a growing library of exercises across all muscle groups, including:

new exercises are added regularly with app updates.

how do workout goals work?

in Settings, you can set daily targets for Reps, Workouts, and Active Minutes. your Daily Goal Progress bar in the Workout tab fills as you complete reps and log activity. hit your targets to maintain your streak.

how are calories burned calculated during workouts?

Calb estimates calories burned based on the exercise type, number of reps/sets, and duration of your session. these are estimates and may vary based on body weight, fitness level, and intensity. for more precise measurements, consider pairing Calb with Apple Health or Google Fit.

🔥 streaks & progress

how do streaks work?

you build a streak by consistently meeting your daily goals. your current streak is shown in the Settings tab under "Your Stats." if you miss a day, your streak resets. your best streak is always saved so you can aim to beat it.

what is the Analytics / Progress tab?

the Progress tab shows your weekly and monthly history. you can toggle between Calories and Workout views to see charts of your food intake and exercise activity over time. summary stats show your total, average, and best day. "All Time" stats track your cumulative workouts, reps, and more.

how do I view my Achievements?

go to Settings → Achievements to see all the badges you've earned and those you're working toward.

what's included in Calb Pro?

Calb Pro unlocks unlimited AI food scans, detailed macro analytics, weekly and monthly progress reports, cloud sync across devices, food and workout log export, ad-free experience, and early access to new features.

how do I cancel my subscription?

iOS:

  1. open the Settings app
  2. tap your name → Subscriptions
  3. find Calb and tap it
  4. tap "Cancel Subscription"

android:

  1. open the Google Play Store
  2. tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. find Calb and tap it
  4. tap "Cancel Subscription"

you must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. you'll keep pro access until the end of your current billing period.

how do I restore my purchases?

go to the Settings tab in the app and tap "Restore Purchases." make sure you're signed in to the same App Store / Google Play account used for the original purchase.

can I get a refund?

refund requests must be made through your device's app store:

Calb does not control app store refund decisions. we are unable to issue refunds directly.

🐛 troubleshooting

the app crashed or isn't loading — what do I do?

my food log or workout data seems incorrect — what happened?

if data appears missing or incorrect, try force-closing and reopening the app to trigger a refresh. if you're a pro subscriber, check that cloud sync is working by restoring purchases. if data was lost due to a technical error, contact our support team and we'll do our best to help.

how do I transfer my data to a new device?

if you're a Calb Pro subscriber, your food logs, workout history, streaks, and stats are backed up to the cloud. simply install Calb on your new device and tap "Restore Purchases" in Settings to sync your data.

free users' data is stored locally on device only and cannot be transferred automatically.
